Meet the Doctors of Kids First Dental

Dr. Robert H. Ellis III, Pediatric Dentist


Dr. Robert Ellis is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and then completed a two-year pediatric dental residency where he received specialized training to treat children. Dr. Robert received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and is also the Past President of the South Carolina Society of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Robert loves his profession and feels extremely fortunate to provide dental care to his young patients. Dr. Robert and his wife enjoy chasing around their two young children as well as travelling and eating out. Dr. Robert is an avid sports fan and enjoys competing in triathlons.

Dr. Harold Jablon


Dr. Harold Jablon has been practicing dentistry since graduating from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1971. Dr. Jablon served our nation by working for the United States Navy Dental Corps from 1971 to 1973 finishing with a rank of Lieutenant. Dr. Jablon then opened up his own General Practice for Family and Cosmetic Dentistry where he practiced for 33 years. Dr. Jablon is a member of many dental organizations, including Past President of the Greater Columbia Dental Association, Member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy-International Honorary Dental Association, Fellow of the American College of Dentistry, Member of the American Dental Association, Member of the South Carolina Dental Association, Past President of the Medical University of South Carolina Alumni Association (1984-1985) and (1995-1996), 1999 Recipient of the Presidential Merit Award-Medical University of South Carolina, 2005 named to listing of Best Dentists in America, 2008 Recipient of the Pierre Fauchard Academy Certificate of Recognition for support and contributions to the profession of dentistry, and much more. Dr. Jablon has been enjoying practicing dentistry going on 40 years and has vast knowledge in working with pediatric patients. Dr. Jablon’s goal is to provide a healthy smile to children and young adults.

Dr. Mouna Bosler


Dr. Mouna Bosler is originally from Damascus, Syria and moved to the United States in 1987. Dr. Bosler graduated from NYU in 1993 and has been practicing ever since. She worked in Philadelphia and Boston. She is certified through the Northeast Regional Board (NERB) and Southeast Regional Board (SERTA). She is currently a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), Greater of Columbia, delegate member with Central District of Columbia.

Once she got married she moved to Columbia, South Carolina and has practicing here since 2002. She has one son who is the joy of her life. Dr. Bosler enjoys working on children and seeing them have a healthy smile. One of her goals is to make sure children are not afraid of the Dentist. She likes to educate children so they will have and maintain good oral hygiene. Dr. Bosler enjoys swimming, country music, classic movies, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Sylvester Adu Boahene


Dr. Sylvester Adu Boahene has been practicing dentistry for thirteen years. He completed his BDS at University of Ghana Dental School, his DDS at New York University College of Dentistry, and his residency at the Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY in 2007. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), Greater of Columbia Dental Association, and the American Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Sylvester's vision is to take care of the dental needs of his patients and help with the prevention of dental disease. In his own words, “My patients are my priority. I want to give them the best treatment they deserve”.

Dr. William "Sandy" Marshall


Dr. Sandy received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He received his Master of Science in Orthodontics from the University of Detroit-Mercy. He is active in a number of dental organizations. For Dr. Sandy, orthodontics is the perfect profession. He loves that every patient's case is a puzzle, and none of the puzzles are identical. He really values the opportunity to be creative every day, and is excited to be a lifelong learner in his chosen field.

He enjoys being active in his free time, which can include anything from playing sports, having fun at the lake with his friends and family, or training for the Cooper River Bridge Run. He is naturally curious and enjoys learning about almost any subject, especially history – most people find it strange to know that he often prefers to watch documentaries instead of movies from Redbox. He also likes to follow sports, and March Madness is his favorite time of the year.

Dr. J. Wade Nichols


Dr. Nichols graduated from Newberry College in 1972 prior to attending the MUSC dental program. After working for three years in Lexington, SC as a general dentist, he enrolled in the Medical College of Virginia Endodontic program, graduating in 1980. He has been practicing endodontics for thirty-five years. In his spare time, Dr. Nichols is an avid hunter and enjoys spending time with his wife, Paula, and two daughters.

Dr. Matthew M. Miller


Dr. Miller graduated from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2007, upon which he became a commissioned Officer in the United States Navy and holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his Naval career he has completed a General Practice Residency and an Exodontia Fellowship. He has practiced at many Naval hospitals and clinics throughout his career, as well as onboard the USS FORT MCHENRY, an amphibious assault ship. He is certified through the Central Regional Dental Testing Service (CRDTS), and is licensed in both South Carolina and Iowa. He brings a wealth of surgical knowledge to Kids First Dental and provides the highest quality care to his patients.

Dr. Miller thoroughly enjoys providing dental and oral surgical care to patients of all ages and always makes his patients feel at ease during their procedures. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and is an accomplished saltwater angler.

Dr. Kimberly Smith


Dr. Kimberly D. Smith received her undergraduate degree from South Carolina State University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. She is currently a member of the Greater of Columbia Dental Association. She loves working on children and giving them the best treatment so they can continue to have a healthy smile. She feels that it is very important to educate children and parents about maintaining good oral hygiene.

Dr. Smith is married with two sons. She loves to read, watch movies and spend time with her family.
